A One of a Kind film made possible by an incredible Local Community
The Limerence Project

Limerence started off as a passion project in my highschool years. It was an attempt to sort out the various anxious and neurotic questions I had about identity and the nature of who I am. When I really needed to understand what I was going through at the time, I went to film, to find the answers.

After shooting a little over half of the film, I decided to quit the project, seeing how ambitious it was and what it needed to be complete. However, after showing various friends and acquaintances the rough cut, I received overwhelming encouragement to complete the film. Everyone after seeing it identified with the main character at a deep spiritual level.
After receiving these responses and encouragement, I took it upon myself to evolve my quest to uncover the deeper truths and symbols that underlie the structure of the story itself. Taking heavy influence from the teachings of Carl Jung, Alan Watts, and U.G. Krishnamurti, I sought to bring these truths and discoveries to a narrative head. Through this, I hope an audience can walk away with a deeper understanding of both themselves and the nature of their being on a deep, intuitive level.

Limerence evolved into an adventure to Unveil the Truth. As limerence grew, I grew, and so did the community that helped build it. To complete the film, I moved my studio into an abandoned Masonic temple in the middle of Salina Kansas. The space provided everything we needed to accomplish our goals, and it's where we currently reside to complete the film today. After working with over 70 people over the years on the film, it became clear to me this was a small movement, and we owe it to both ourselves and our community to see this through and finish the film the best way possible. After 10 years, we hope the work pays off and we hope you will join us in bringing this film to life, and become a part of this growing movement…
